Splendid apartment on the boulevard in S'Agaró with direct access to the beautiful sandy beach of Sant Pol. Quiet setting at the end of the boulevard with a large balcony with full sea view. Spacious interior, quality furniture and equipped with airconditioning and free Wi-Fi. Shops, restaurants and terraces are around the corner or can be reached in just a few minutes on foot. Because of its location at the beach the apartment is great for kids as well. Famous Playa de Aro is just 5 min. away as well.

The property has 4 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms of which two en-suite, a cosy living with adjacent dining area and a fully-equipped kitchen. Furthermore SAT-TV, washing machine, central heating and a safe. The apartments belong to a nearby hotel and guests have free access to the pool, roof-lounge terrace and other hotel facilities. The apartments can also be booked with half board.

S'Agaró is also a very good starting point for trips to Barcelona, Girona, the Dali museums and the Pyrenees. Airports are nearby (Girona 20 min, Barcelona 80 min). There are plenty of possibilities for water sports, walking, fishing, horse riding and mountain biking. The famous Cami de Ronda coastal trail starts right in front of the building and there are many routes such as GR in the mountains very close to the property.

Bike rent is available in the hotel and for golfers : next to the nearby 27-holes Golf Costa Brava, there are some 6 more beautiful 18 and 36-holes golf courses within a 30 minutes drive.

My family [two children] and I stayed at Apartment Cadaquès for 10 nights in late June, early July 2016. The Apartment is located at the southern end of the small cove that comprises Playa Sant Pol. The Apartment is a front line, top level, end unit, meaning an L-shaped terrace, within an extremely well maintained building containing only four flats.

Apartment: The Apartment is exceptionally well-designed and expansive. One enters a foyer opening onto a large dining room. The construction materials of the interior of the flat are stone or exceptionally well made synthetic stone. The living room, two steps beneath the dining room has wall to wall glass windows/doors providing a direct view onto the sea and coastline. The view is lighted lovely at night, making the terrace suitable for dinner or cocktails, a romantic atmosphere ensured. There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms: There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms, equally well-designed and positioned. The main bedroom, with en suite bathroom containing a Jacuzzi, is large, well closeted, has its own air-conditioner, and TV. The additional bedrooms are located in the rear of this large apartment, providing complete privacy from the main bedroom. The additional three bedrooms have two single beds, each with immense closets, and adjacent to the additional two other bathrooms, that are well-equipped, large, and self-sufficient.

Kitchen: There is a galley kitchen with a sliding door, immediately off the dining room. The kitchen is fully furnished: dishwasher, clothes washer, clothes dryer, as well as cutlery, dishes, cooking utensils, and so on. Nothing is missing.

Services: The Apartment is managed by the Hotel Barcarola. It is easy to pick up the keys to the flat, and there is free, private outdoor parking across from the hotel. Indoor parking also is available though I did not use it. Any problem reported to the Hotel is immediately fixed or addressed. The Hotel staff is kind and accommodating.

There are four air conditioners in the flat, Internet, a large TV screen in the LR, plus DVD/CD player, and independent speakers.

Proximity to Beach: The beach is immediately across the main road of the village. The water is clean and, if one likes to snorkel, is full of colourful fish. In addition, if one follows the pathway close to the south side of the beach, one finds numerous small coves for swimming, snorkling, or scuba diving. The marine life is spectacular. The beach is sandy and the colour of the sand/pebbles is close to pink, as are the stones that constitute the cove. Because of the physical location of the beach, the height of the mountains on each side, there is no wind. Every morning the city authorities clean the beach.

Proximity to Shops: Because Sant Pol is small and exclusive, there are restaurants and cafes, but no large supermarkets. However, the absence of large stores adds grace and peace to the location. A short driving distance takes you to Lidl, AKI, JYSK, and many other shops to satisfy your needs.

Rating: The highest. I recommend this flat for a family, seeking a romantic and private getaway, or for a few adults and children.
